Welcome my HeadBangers, from Trollhattan, Sweden: FEJD

“GRYNING”
(Which in Swedish means “Dawn”, hopefully my translator is right.)
I don’t need to understand everything they are saying to know that I love this band. Their videos tell the story, just watch and let the music flow HeadBangers.
Let’s meet the band:
Niklas Rimmerfors – Vocals and Moraharpa
Lennart Specht – Guitars and Keyboard
Thomas Antonsson – Bass
Esko Salow – Drums
As you can see this is not the typical Metal Band, there are so many instruments being played here. Check out their bio, it explains what their vision is:
The brothers interest in Swedish medieval folk music started back in 1995, commenced by music studying and the feeling of wanting to explore new musical ground and try something new. The brothers musical background, as well as their band mates, has its roots in heavy metal music. Inspiration is also drawn from like-minded bands such as Garmarna and Hedningarna.
In addition to Fejd, the brothers Rimmerfors still performs every now and then as the acoustic duo Rimmerfors. Check out their FaceBook page for more gigs. They also will appear at Wacken Winter Nights 2020, on February 14, yes Valentines Day.

My Thoughts:
Simply put, I love this band. I have listened to quite a few folk bands, as there are alot in this part of the world. However, none have grabbed me like ‘FEJD”, I know, no it’s not just the flowing hair my HeadBangers lmao, but I’m not complaining about that for sure. This music to put it plainly, calms the savage beast that we MetalHeads are at times. I believe that we all need that, whether you can understand the words or not, there’s something in this sound, the instruments, the singing that calls me to another day and time when life was all about survival and passion. Now I need a horn of mead my HeadBangers, and a fire to sit by as I listen to stories of the past in the cold night. What better way to pass the night or weekend for that matter.
“Storm”
Well my HeadBangers that’s it for this week. Join me next week for another band and another song. Until then don’t stand to close to the fire if you can’t handle the burn…..
Please feel free to leave me a comment or question, I appreciate it HeadBangers:
