Week 75 – CRUISH-NIR

Welcome my HeadBangers from somewhere deep in Romania:  Cruish-Nir

“Quietus”

My HeadBangers, as a Metal Blogger bands will send me songs to listen to and so it was with Cruish-Nir.  Cruish-Nir is a new band/collaboration formed in 2019. I love being able to bring my MetalHeads something new and different but still metal.

This song was released March 23rd and it’s their first song, but they are working on more at the time of this post.

The musicians are involved in different projects beside Cruish-Nir, but this song really got my attention.  Do you hear those growl vocals?  You know that’s my thing so of course I had to bring it to you.  They are raw and some of the deepest I’ve heard.  It takes a great artist to master them and Liviu Ustinescu has done it without question as far as I’m concerned.  Also, Isabel Restrepo, of Fabulae Dramatis, has a great voice, check her out on FB.

I want to give you the history of the band, you know I love a band with history, it was given to me by Untaru Valentin, the founder.

Cruish-Nir gothic/doom metal project was born in one of my travels around Europe, more in particular after long rainy nights spent in Isle of Skye, Scotland. The project represents the result of long travels around Europe, as an expression of my soul looking for the strange beauty in ethereal silence of mother nature, grief and eternal pain, valuing the expressiveness of my soul, mental condition resulting in a musical manifestation of romantic melancholy and delirium tremens of body and mind.  The music takes the path of totality, as part of my spiritual journey for ethereal silence…

For now, it’s a studio project exclusively, with me writing the lyrics and ideas behind the songs, and Robert Cotoros (The Bipolar Disorder Project) performing all instruments and handling production, also Liviu Ustinescu (Rancorum and Contraband X) performing as lead vocal/growl vocals.  However, I’m looking forward to bringing together a band for live shows in the near future.

My work will be released on band’s official youtube channel:

Here’s some facts behind the song “Quietus”:

The song Quietus represents a soul’s search over the eons, into its own ethereal realm, for an eternal return to it’s primordial ashes, where both male and female essences are looking into voidification of their inner presence, as voidification of flesh and bone.

My HeadBangers you got all that, just listen to the song, it is excellent.

Let’s meet these collaborators:

From left to top, bottom, and right:

Untaru Valentin – founder, bassist and manager

Liviu Ustinescu ( Rancorum, Contraband X) – growl vocals

Robert Cotoros ( The Bipolar Disorder Project/ ex- Hteththemeth ) – all instruments

Isabel Restrepo ( Fabulae Dramatis) – clean vocals

A few words from Untaru:

I want to thank you for this opportunity to share some thoughts about what Cruish-Nir means.  I highly appreciate your work and I’m glad people are still looking to find out more about the bands they’re listening to, as for who’s going to read these words, I send my deep appreciation and warm hugs, too.

Everyone, no matter where you’re from, or who you are, music is supposed to heal us, teach us, to speak to our souls.  Take care of you, and remember… life is a gift of love and patience, be yourself, express yourself and stay doom! \m/

There you have it my HeadBangers, well said.  On that note that’s it for this week.  Join me next week for another band and another song.  Until then don’t stand to close to the fire if you can’t handle the burn…..
