Melodic Death Metal Bands From Around the World…..

My HeadBangers, this week it was brought to my attention in a metal magazine that a writer had said of an American band,”Who needs Swedish Melodic Death Metal with this band.”   I will chalk that statement up to pure ignorance or ass kissing ok.  First off, and I have to get this off my chest, most Nordic and European bands are not played on your local RADIO STATION, so if you do hear them it is rare.  Secondly maybe you will hear them if a fan of theirs just happens to be in your town and turns you on to them.  This blog brings METAL MUSIC from all over the world from India, Moldova, Poland, Italy, Germany, UK, USA, I will stop there, to many to list, read the weekly update.  But, I am going to take the next couple weeks to introduce you again to MELODIC DEATH METAL worldwide, THRASH, FOLK, and how about some BLACK DEATH METAL to top it off.  Like I have always said, “What speaks to me may not speak to you and vice versa.”  Music is a personal choice, we don’t all like the same sound, but it doesn’t mean one is better than the other.  ALSO, I am not talking about the big bands, FFDP, Metallica, COB, etc.  These are bands that are trying to bring you their music and hope they make it, some even work daily like the rest of us.  SO, before you throw around dumb ass comments like this so called music journalist did, make your own decision, you could be missing out on some of the best music you have ever heard, not to mention genuine bands that care about what their fans say.  Below are some of my favorites, let me introduce you to some great MELODIC DEATH METAL BANDS from across the ocean.

Melodic death metal (also referred to as melodeath) is a subgenre of death metal that employs highly melodic guitar riffs, often borrowing from traditional heavy metal. The style originated and developed in Sweden (pioneered by At the Gates, Dark Tranquility  and In Flames) and the United Kingdom (pioneered by Carcass) around 1993. The Swedish death metal scene did much to popularize the style, soon centering in the “Gothenburg metal” scene.

AND what does that say, The Swedish death metal scene did much to popularize the style.  So now what do you have to say mister MUSIC JOURNALIST???

1)  BRHG (Bloodred Hourglass) Melodic Death Metal, Finland – “Waves of Black”

I have seen these guys in person, and they will give you the chills I kid you not.  Jarkko Koukonen will just kill you, he commands the stage and pulls that last growl vocal from deep inside his soul.  It is a gig you will never forget.  They’re on the blog, check them out.

2)  SHADECROWN, Melodic Death Metal, Finland  –  “Led Astray”

3)  AEPHANEMER –  Melodic Death Metal – France  – ” Unstoppable”

I have to mention my HeadBangers out of all 88 weeks of bands this one is the most watched, and that says something doesn’t it.

4)  PARASITE INC – Melodic Death Metal – Germany – “The Pulse of the Dead”

I just love these guys they are so bad ass, but then all my bands are.

5)  Astralborne – Melodic Death Metal – Toledo, Ohio USA – “Eternity’s End”

And there we have it my HeadBangers, 5 of the best Melodic Death Metal Bands.  They are all on the blog so check them out.  Of course there are more than 5 on here, listen to the music, all the same but all with a little different something, listen for it you will hear it.

And the the MUSIC JOURNALIST who made the comment, KMA, I truly love all the bands on the blog.  Each one is fantastic, each one has something to say, so listen and expand your horizon buddie, cause really I don’t think you even have a clue what’s out here.  We HeadBangers and MetalHeads are a family, we do not disrespect our bands.
