First, I would like to thank you so much for taking the time to answer a few questions. I know you are busy, and I appreciate it, all my MetalHeads will love it.
No way! Thanks for asking us, like a band from the island!
You’re more than just a band from the island, lol, trust me on that. Let’s give my HeadBangers a look inside Shady Glimpse and see what’s happening.
The first thing I ask any band is, how are all of you doing with Covid? I know other bands here and in the EU are going crazy, gigs are finally opening slowly, some still being cancelled. Has this affected the band or you guys personally?
We think some people nervous, some people never mind. Both are correct. But we’re on tour in Japan. Many people can’t party with each problem. We do hope everyone will blast! We changed our mind and recording or making a new song.
I know you said the band started in 2005. What made you want to start a band?
Our leader Shinya in youth, his movement is changing from LA metal to thrash metal. He loves every genre of music so he made our super mixed sound.
I love Thrash, how did you get into it?
The root is hardrock. We say we’re Thrash Metal but sometimes the actual sound like 80’s rock or classic rock music.
Some bands have their music geared towards current events, society, war, etc. Is there a message in your music or is it up to the listener to decide what it means to them?
Singing many themes. For war, society, friends and gamble. Every song I felt in my life.
I think every artist should feel that way. That makes the best songs, the ones you pull out of your heart and soul, your own experiences. Keep doing it.
What bands have inspired you?
At age 13 the Sex Pistols, at 14 Judas Priest, at 15 GM’R, at 16 Anthrax, Metallica, Exodus, Testament, at 18 Pantera.
That’s a good group to follow. I know you were in Australia, I have a few bands on the blog from there, they’re great guys. How was your experience when you were there?
Australian people are awesome! Everything cool and coffee is so delicious! We stayed in Sydney some days. We would stay more. Aaron from “Bane Of Isilder” took care of us so much! He introduced many cool guys and places. We toured east and north side of Australia before. Next time we want be every place.
One last question, I always ask the bands how they came up with their name, and what it means.
Even dark and negative, happy, and pop songs we play by ourselves. In Japanese Hikari and Kage. Not definite it’s fuzzy form. We made a word from like vibe of glimpse in shades, that’s our name.
Is there anything you would like to say to your fans?
We want to meet people in Australia and inform our soul directly. Give us a chance to play in Australia! We want to show our energy and stupid. Let’s build a friendship of loud music! See you soon mates!
There it is my HeadBangers. Every band from every place on this planet is so interesting. Their stories are all different but, in the end the music is what unites us all. Wouldn’t it be nice if everything worked this way?! I want to thank Shady Glimpse and Yuichi for taking time to talk to me and give us some background into the band. Check them out I think you will really like what you hear. I wish them all the best and thanks again…..
That’s it for this week my HeadBangers. Join me next week for another band and another song, in the meantime don’t stand to close to the fire if you can’t handle the burn…..
Please feel free to leave me a comment or question, I appreciate it HeadBangers:
