WEEK 164 – THE FAILSAFE

Welcome my HeadBangers from Minneapolis, Minnesota the Hard Rock Band:

THE FAILSAFE BAND

“Burn It To The Ground”

This song was just released on March 15, 2022

“Until I Break”

This was released March 16, 2021

Let’s look at some bio on these guys, taken from their press kit:

The Failsafe is a heavy-hitting, melodic, dark and gritty electronic rock band that will make you want to head bang, dance, and punch something at the same time.

We are comprised of former members of Grammy submitted band The Phoenix Philosophy: Jesse Weber (vocals, keys, samples), Caio Thomas (guitar), and Chad Helmonds (drums), with the addition of Benno Bowers (bass).

We are currently releasing online content (music videos, songs, live streams and more) to our fans.

We are your anger. We are your sadness. We are your perseverance.

Now my HeadBangers here’s the interview.  As always mine is in blue, there’s are in black.

First I’d like to thank you guys for taking the time to answer a few questions.  I really appreciate it and my HeadBangers love it.  Ok here we go,,,,,

When did you start the band, and why did you want to start this band?

We started the band in late 2018.  Our guitarist, drummer and singer used to play together in a band called “The Phoenix Philosophy” that broke up.  The three members wanted to continue playing music together, so we decided to form “The Failsafe”.

A lot of bands will have their songs geared towards current events, society, war, etc.  Is there a message in your music or is it up to the listener to decide what it means to them?

Each of our songs have a different meaning.  But the lyrics all come from the heart and many are inspired by past relationships and struggles in life.

I always ask this question because the name of the band is really their identity.  How did you choose the name The Failsafe, and what does it mean to all of you?

We chose the name The Failsafe because picking a band name is really hard and it was the name we came up with that sounded the least bad.

What is your process for writing songs?  Ex: lock yourselves up somewhere?  Do all members participate in the writing of lyrics.

It varies based on the song.  We all contribute to writing, but usually one person will come up with the basic idea for a song and send it to the other members, and we all collaborate on it from there.  We have members that live in different states so much of our collaboration is done on phone calls and through the internet.  Our singer writes most of the lyrics but the rest of us help tweak things here and there.

Will you be touring this year? What about internationals tours?

We don’t currently have plans to tour internationally this year but we’re looking to get out to new areas in the US where we haven’t played yet.

What bands influenced your music?

Some of our main influences are Bring Me The Horizon, Linkin Park, A Day To Remember, PVRIS and Breaking Benjamin.  Thanks for interviewing us.

Thank you Guys, I love having these interviews for my HeadBangers.  It always gives us a little more insight in the bands we like.

“Remind Me I’m Alive”

Band members are:

JESSE WEBER – VOCALS

CAIO THOMAS – GUITAR

CHAD HELMONDS – DRUMS

BENNO BOWERS – BASS

My Thoughts:

Don’t get this band confused with “Failsafe from the UK”.  All in all I really like this band.  Their songs have that fast sound, in some spots it reminds me of Speed Metal.   Just a little here and there.  I want to thank Caio for getting the questions answered for me.  I wish them all the luck in the world.  Besides being a great band they are great guys.  One thing I would like to say to all the American Bands, when I message or email them, I rarely hear back.  I think only 5-6 have answered back.  I love to have the interview part that’s written because as I have said, to me there is more depth when you have time to sit and really think about what you want to say.  I’ve heard so many podcast’s, radio, etc interviews.  What usually happens, everyone gets off the topic and end up just having fun, and that’s fine.  But, with a written interview it gives you more time to think about what you are going to say, and what things are important that you want your fans to know.  I will keep doing what I’m doing and I hope to find more bands all over the planet that will do an interview with me for my HeadBangers.

Well my HeadBangers that’s it for this week.  Join me next week for another band and another song.  In the meantime don’t stand to close to the fire if you can’t handle the burn…..

Please feel free to leave me a comment or question, I appreciate it HeadBangers:
