Well my HeadBangers to say I am PO would be putting it lightly.  I don’t know what happened to this blog, half didn’t post, so I am redoing it now.  My apologies to the band.  WTH oh well I get to listen to everything again.  I have to say here’s another band I never heard before.  The story is I received a DM at twitter with one of their songs asking me to listen to it and tell them what I thought.  So I did and the minute I heard the song and that voice they had me.  You all know I’m a Melodic Death and Thrash/Speed Metalhead but there is so much new music coming out in metal that you have to listen.  These guys are definitely ones to watch.  I tried to get an interview but, here we go another band on tour across the US.  I’m happy for them, you have to go when you have the chance.  They are touring with The Veer Union, so I’m hoping to get in touch with them when their tour is over.

Let’s look at some bio on these guys (taken from their site):

2 Shadows is a Metal duo based out of Vancouver, Canada, consisting of members Glen Bridden (Lead Vocals), Tryst Germaine (Guitars),  The band was founded in 2015 and for the last seven years they have been meticulously and methodically honing in their craft, leaving no stone unturned.  Inspired by house hold name acts such as Slipknot, Rammstein and Korn, the band is also inspired by the modern breed of Metal acts such as Motionless In White, Wage War, Bad Omens and Avenged Sevenfold. 2 Shadows is a combination of the most modern sounding Metal blended with visually theatrical imagery, creating a duality that is the core essence of the band. Lead Vocalist, Glen Bridden, “Our live show is just as important to us as our music. We try to make our live show a visual representation of our music. We are constantly building and evolving our stage show so our fans can always expect something different and exciting!”

In 2018, after playing locally and regionally for three years, 2 Shadows ventured out on a National Tour across Canada and began garnering attention from Metal fans and industry professionals alike. With the completion of their first National Tour under their belts, the band was hungry to get back work in the studio and elevate their overall game.

In 2019 the band began working on a new album, entering into the studio with Singer/Songwriter/Producer/The Veer Union Front man, Crispin Earl, to streamline the bands sound and bring it to that of International level. After the completion of the album, the band was ecstatic to announce they inked a deal with Rock Shop Records and released a brand new track, “Scratching At The Surface”, (including a feature vocal performance by The Veer Union Front man), on Friday, November 13th, 2020. 2 Shadows will be releasing the new album in the spring of 2022 and will be out on the road, in its support, both Nationally and Internationally.

We’re so glad to have @joshlauzedrums and @braidyn_michaels98 along with us for the @rockshoprecordsofficial Spring Tour with @theveerunion !!

My Thoughts:

My HeadBangers there is something about this band that grabbed me.  One thing I really get is Glens’ voice, it’s smooth like honey and then in the next breath it’s growl vocals, when a vocalist can go from smooth and then this beast comes out of his mouth, I appreciate the hell out of that.  Then we have Tryst and his guitar, he does great makeup also, but all I can say about him is you have swag, and I don’t say that about a lot of people.  Watching you swing that guitar like you were born with it pure swag.  I like the performances you give on stage and your videos are really good.  I wish you all the best on your tour and hope we can catch up for an interview when it’s over.  Thanks so much for that DM, I’m so glad you sent it!!!

That’s it for this week my HeadBangers.  Sorry again for the interruption wtf oh well that’s how it goes.  Join me next week for another band and another song.  In the meantime don’t stand to close to the fire if you can’t handle the burn…..

Please feel free to leave me a comment or question, I appreciate it HeadBangers:
