My HeadBangers, welcome from Aarhus, Denmark, the Death Metal Band:
BAEST
“Creature”
“Ecclesia”
Well HeadBangers can I get a hell yes on this band!!! I have some bio on Baest taken from their site, so let’s take a look:
BAEST comes from Aarhus in Denmark and have successfully established themselves as one of the country’s most promising metal acts in recent years. While deeply rooted in straight-forward classic death metal inspired by genre legends like Dismember, Entombed, Morbid Angel, Death, and Bolt Thrower, the 2015 formed band evolved from a Danish underground phenomenon to an internationally touring act (2018 tour with Abbath, 2019 EU/UK trek with Decapitated). Also, at festivals like Summer Breeze, Copenhell, Ruhrpott Metal Meeting, Roskilde, they left audiences impressed and begging for more. After their already praised debut album “Danse Macabre” the band took it to the next level in 2019 and delivered “Venenum” where they refined their already steamroller-like signature sound. With the expectation-bar already set so high for their next record “Necro Sapiens” BAEST truly drops their most anticipated and most important album so far.
And here it is!
“Necro Sapiens”
Listen to those growl vocals, I’m totally in awe of this man’s voice. When I listen to growl vocals the things I look for is how deep can they go and how long and still be understood. It’s not easy but some vocalist are better at it than others. They all have their rituals they do to keep that voice in shape, without losing their voice in the process. There is nothing better in metal to me than a great growl vocalist, and Baest has it thanks to Simon Olsen. Not that the rest of the band isn’t great because they are, but to me you can have the best music but, if your vocalist isn’t up there you need to start looking for one that is. Also Baest has the best music videos, check out more on Utube and their website.
Let’s meet the band:
Lasse Revsbech – Guitars (2015-present)
Svend Karlsson – Guitars (2015-present)
Simon Olsen – Vocals (2015-present)
Mattias Melchiorsen – Bass (2015-present)
Sebastian Abildsten – Drums (2015-present)
My Thoughts
I have been doing this blog for 4 years now and I am always surprised, like a kid on Christmas morning at all the new bands, well new to me, that I stumble upon. I love all my bands, they’re on the blog so yes they are mine lmao. When I wrap up the week with Hump Day and then the weekly Friday band, there are always more bands I run into. This is why music can save us all, it’s everywhere on this planet. If music ruled the world it would be such a better place to live in, but at least it helps us to make it through all the crap we put up with on a daily basis. The last 2 years have been just insane but still the music is there to pull us through. I thank them all, we need all of you.
Well my HeadBangers that’s it for this week. Join me next week for another band and another song. Until then don’t stand to close to the fire if you can’t handle the burn…..
Please feel free to leave me a comment or question, I appreciate it HeadBangers:
