WEEK 121 – H.E.A.T.

My HeadBangers, welcome from Upplands Väsby, Sweden:

H.E.A.T.

“RISE”

Perkele, well my HeadBangers, I have already added this song to my Iphone, and I and totally captivated by this Swedish vocalist,  powerhouse, best hair in the world, omg see another band I would never have found if not for Temple Balls, week 120, hopefully they are touring this year with H.E.A.T. if not stopped by Covid.  I would absolutely turn into the loudest screaming fangirl (and I never have done that not once) to see both these bands at a gig.  I hope I can make it through the blog, lmao.

“10 Years”

Who doesn’t like to watch this guy walk away, hey don’t give me any paska, guys do it to us all the time.  I mean it only as a sincere compliment.  What a voice, and the strength behind it, what a great, great vocalist.

Ok my HeadBangers let’s look at some bio on this band:

H.E.A.T is a Swedish Hard Rock Band that was formed in Upplands Väsby, Sweden in 2007, when the prior bands Dream (Jona Tee, Dave Dalone, Kenny Leckremo) and Trading Fate (Don Crash, Jimmy Jay, Eric Rivers) merged. Currently fronted by Kenny Leckremo, the band’s heavy sound is strongly influenced by past melodic rock groups such as Whitesnake, with H.E.A.T having supported musical acts such as Scorpions.  Between autumn 2015 to summer 2017 the group focused entirely on writing and recording songs. Into the Great Unknown, was released in September 2017 via earMUSIC.  Dave Ling from Classic Rock Magazine published the following quote in his review of Into the Great Unknown; ”H.E.A.T. have just made the most complete album of their career. Watch their rise continue. H.E.A.T released H.e.a.t II on February 21, 2020 going back to a more heavier sound. H.e.a.t II has been very well received by critics.

The band were signed to Peter Stormares record label StormVox, and in 2008 the debut album H.E.A.T was released. The second album, titled Freedom Rock, came in 2010 on the same record label.

In 2011 they signed with GAIN music (Sony) and they also signed a new management, Hagenburg management.

In 2007, they were an opening act to Toto, and the following year they were the opening act to Sabaton and Alice Cooper, as well as performed at the Sweden Rock Festival that year. They were also awarded with the Årets nykomlingar award, an award given out by the Swedish radio station P4 Dist for the best new artist of the year, as voted by the listeners.

In 2009, the band played at the Melodifestivalen 2009, the Swedish qualifier to the annual Eurovision Song Contest, making it to the final round with the song “1000 miles”. The band have also toured around Europe as an opening act to Edguy in January 2009. Vocalist Kenny Leckremo left the band after playing 27 July at Gröna Lund . On 21 August, H.E.A.T. stated that the new singer is Erik Grönwall, Freedom Rock was ranked in the top 10 AOR/Melodic Rock albums of 2010 by Classic Rock Magazine.

H.E.A.T released their third studio album Address The Nation 28 March 2012. The first single from the album was “Living On The Run”. It was the first album with new singer Grönwall, and it featured in many of the top 10 list of Music sites around the web. it also received a review of 98% on Melodicrock.com.

2014 saw the return of the much anticipated new album  Tearing Down the Walls (H.E.A.T. album) and in October 2014 the band headlined the last ever Firefest concert at Rock City in Nottingham, UK.

In early October 2016, guitar player Eric Rivers announced his departure from the band, and almost 2 weeks later it was announced that former guitar player Dave Dalone was replacing him – and therefore returning to the band since departing in 2013.

H.E.A.T released their fifth studio album Into The Great Unknown 20 September 2017, their third with vocalist Erik Grönwall. The album saw the return of former guitarist Dave Dalone, who rejoined the band after the departure of Eric Rivers in 2016. Dave Ling from Classic Rock Magazine published the following quote in his review of Into the Great Unknown; ”H.E.A.T. have just made the most complete album of their career. Watch their rise continue.” H.E.A.T released H.e.a.t II on February 21, 2020 returning to their heavier sound and to very positive reviews.

You tell them Jona!!

On October 30, 2020 the band announced via their official Facebook-page that original singer Kenny Leckremo has rejoined the band replacing the departing singer Erik Grönwall.

“My Thoughts”

Well my HeadBangers, my thoughts, I think you can see are all over the place with this Band of Swedish Rockers.  This is why I do what I do.  I hope more of my HeadBangers all over this planet can see there are truly GREAT bands everywhere.  The thing about this band is some have left and now have come full circle.  It’s destiny for those of us that believe in it.  They were meant to be together and so they are, making the best music, and I truly mean that.  I really could listen to them for hours, well I have at work, lol, and they just made my day so much better.  Also here’s a little something you might not know, Temple Balls have  finished their 3rd album and guess who the producer was, yes it was Jona Tee.  This man wears many hats.  I cannot wait to hear Temple Balls and these guys at a gig.  Hopefully they will get to tour this summer, keep those fingers crossed.  I have heard many Nordic Bands and been to a lot of gigs there.  I love so many of these bands, they each offer something different and it’s really hard to pic just one as your favorite, it’s almost impossible.  For me each week I search for that special band to bring to the blog for others to hear.  There are so many more bands out there waiting for me to find them.  If you are one let me know, I am happy to do it.  It’s food for the soul and the mind.   Music puts a smile on my face, as I am always astounded when I hear a band from across the sea.  Especially in these times I need this music to keep me going, to let me know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel, it will come I know it and my bands make me feel it in my heart.  I love all of you.

Well that’s it for this week my HeadBangers.  Join me next week for another band and another song.  Until then don’t stand to close to the fire if you can’t handle the burn…..

Please feel free to leave me a comment or question, I appreciate it HeadBangers:
