Can I just say what a comfort to uncover somebody who really understands what they are talking about over the internet. You actually realize how to bring a problem to light and make it important. More people must read this and understand this side of your story. I was surprised you are not more popular given that you certainly have the gift.
Thank you so much Gordon for taking the time to leave a comment, and a nice one at that. I really appreciate it. I would like to take a few minutes to fill you and the rest of my HeadBangers in on how this all came about. A couple years ago a co-worker told me I should do a blog. If you look at the first couple I did, you will see the difference between 2018 and now. I was looking at it myself yesterday and couldn’t believe how lacking they were, but the bands were still great to me. Now I have been told we are called Music Journalist, Influencers, etc. I don’t know about all that, but what I do know is that I am a student, by that I mean when I go to a gig, I’m not jumping around the Mosh Pit, or screaming, I’m observing everything about the band. I watch the drummer, how fast does he move, the bass, which I love, the guitar player, how many times can they twirl that hair while still playing. The singer, does he command the stage, does he have all eyes on him. Does he fall to his knees to get that last growl vocal out of his stomach, like Finntroll Frontman, Vreth, from Finland. I have seen them live and I kid you not, he went to the floor to pull that growl vocal out and that was it for me.
There are so many good Frontmen/women, I can’t even name them all here, but when I’m at a gig, that’s what I do, I watch and listen, and observe the crowd. By doing this blog I have learned so much about my metal music, my metal family, and the bands, it is something that I will continue to do till the last song is played…..
