My HeadBangers, it is my pleasure to welcome back to the blog, from Germany with my fav, Melodic Death Metal, Per Lümbersson, also from Lumberhead, Week 86, check them out. Listen to this and I’ll tell you more….
“Resignation”
Per, besides being a founding member of the band Lumberhead (see Week 86) decided in the winter of 2020 to start a new project called “Aeon of Awareness”. Along with Meta List doing the vocals, and I might add these are some great growl vocals. Deep, dark, they go right thru me. All my HeadBangers know how I am with my growl vocals. Listen to that voice, perfect. Yes I know it’s in German, and I do not translate songs, ever, to me it takes away from the song. Perfect with the instrumental part Per.
Per has said they are inspired by timeless heroes of the Gothenburg school as well as other death and black metal bands.
FYI my HeadBangers, Gothenburg is a city in Sweden that started the death metal sound in the 1990’s it has a large melodic death metal scene, while Stockholm is known for its more raw death metal scene. I know that some of the sound was created by using detuned electric guitars and Heavy Metal pedals. Really I don’t know much about how they make it, I just enjoy the end result.
